Method Statement
Surface Preparation:
The surface to be treated shall be cleaned from adherence and adhesion weakening factors such as oil, grease, paraffin waste, cement grout, loose particles, mold release agents, cured old membranes. If necessary the surface shall be washed with high pressure water jet, and be thoroughly dried. Surface defects such as cracks, unevenness etc should be repaired with suitable products.
Priming :
For absorbent surfaces such as concrete, cement or screed, CLEVERPRIME PU PRIMER 200 or CLEVERPRIME™ EPOXY PRIMER should be used for dry surfaces. In case of moist surfaces CLEVERPRIME™ PU PRIMER 300 2K or EPOXY PRIMER WB should be preferred. CLEVERPRIME™ EPOXY WB GLOSSY should be used on non-absorbent surfaces such as metal, ceramic or old coatings.

Before using, the package should be opened and mixed with a low speed mixer for 2-3 minutes. For spray application, Clever 001 at a maximum rate of 5% – 7% may be added. The products should be applied @ 1.80 to 2.2 kg/m2 with a roller or brush until the entire surface is covered, at least in two layers. After the first coat is applied, the second coat should be applied in minimum 4 and maximum 24 hours. If the application of the second layer has not been made within the specified time, before application please consult to the CLEVER CUSTOMER SUPPORT for information and solutions. If
needed, in order to increase the acceleration of drying process in cold weather, ACC CATALYST may be added to CLEVERPROOF™ PU 110 PLUS.
